A very nice RV Park only 12 miles from White Sands National Monument full hookups and pull throughs for the short-term stay make this a convenient stop. The only problem is that they charge additional fees for 50 amp and for extra people. Very quiet at night and even during the day. Verizon 4G is solid and it is very convenient two hop on the cut off to avoid downtown Alamogordo on your way in or out. We paid $32 a night. Coming in from the West is a pain because you have to make a u-turn to come in the entrance. There is plenty of room to make the you turn even with a big rig. We would stay here again.

📖 About This Campground
Desert Paradise RV Village in Alamogordo New Mexico offers full hookup RV sites with both pull thrus and backins. A mix of permanent, seasonal and short term guests the park has an onsite manager and self pay kiosk for overnight guests. Clubhouse with showers and laundry facilities. The closest RV park to White Sands National Park. A small white fence separates part of each site for delineation; most of the short term sites are pull thru "buddy sites" where neighboring rigs face their doors at one another. The park is on packed gravel with easy access, quiet and dark at night.

Mostly long term tenants but they are polite and maintain clean rigs. The park is off HWY 70 heading towards White Sands and is just past the relief route around Alamogordo allowing faster access to various parts of the city. Good Verizon data card signal. Spaces are narrow but not too bad. Dirt and sparse gravel. Quiet at night. From our spot you could see the white dunes off on the horizon and it was neat to occasionally get a sonic boom from the F-22s. A unique place to stay.
