BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday for a re-invented RV community in East Bakersfield. You may be familiar with the newly re-vamped RV park - Shady Haven. It used to be called Bakersfield Palms. The RV Park and Mini Storage is now a safe wellness community for traveling professionals of all ages. The new owners have made it smoke-free, implemented bike and walking paths, a cooling spa and a firepit to read and relax. "We want it to be more of a rejuvenation atmosphere, as opposed to just staying the night, we want you to stay longer and linger at Shady Haven," said Lehea Desousa, co-owner of Shady Haven. Shady Haven RV Park and Mini Storage in Bakersfield California recently changed owners and focus. While overnight and short term guests are welcome the park management has made a concerted effort to focus on long term guests. The park has paved roads with concrete parking pads and patios with picnic tables. Full hookup sites able to accommodate larger RVs The location has a laundry and heated pool/ spa. Situated just off Edison Hwy north of CA 58 on the way to (or from) Tehachapi.

Excellent, newly built section for overnight visitors with concrete pads, picnic tables, palm trees, excellent utilities. It has very courteous staff. There is a nice pool and spa and other amenities. The only problem is the close proximity to train tracks and the highway.
