it used to be a hidden gem, now you need to make reservations as far in advance as possible. It gets hot, not alot of shade yet, as the rv side is still on the newer side, tent side has the best views and has sites along the water. It gets hot and not much shade there either. Alot of folks complain bout the rangers doing their jobs, i dont mind the rangers keeping the noise and trouble out. Lots of trails to walk, wildlife is abundant all year round. Hope to see ya there one day.

📖 About This Campground
Coyote Lake Harvey Bear Ranch Park east of Gilroy California offers 73 RV and tent campers. All sites have a table, grill/fire pit, and food storage locker. RV sites have electricity, water hook-ups; and a dump station is located nearby. Hot showers are available to all campers.
Hikers, horseback riders and off-road bicyclists can explore over 35 miles of trails that wind through cool oak forests and along breezy ridgelines with wonderful views. At the Bear Ranch Trailhead in San Martin, there is a 2-mile paved loop that is popular with joggers, dog-walkers, and people just wanting to get outside to exercise and get some fresh air.
