We enjoyed the time at Cooper Lake, in particular the tranquility of the park. There are not as many activities as other parks in Texas, but there are options if you are into fishing and boating. It is located just 20 minutes away from Suffer Spring, a vibrant small downtown with a lot to offer. The cellular service for TMobile/Sprint was good, and we were able to stream video. No issues with the 50 amp service. The sites are standard, and mostly level, some of them with lake views, and a few have covered picnic tables. We experienced some rain, and a few sites accumulated water, and these were muddy. On our way there, the access to the campground the city closed some road due to floods in the area, these delayed us by 40 minutes; if you are visiting during rainy season check the access. The restroom was clean but needed maintenance.
