Because of the price this is just an average park. It is part KOA and part Thousand Trails. They do get kudos for having a site last minute during a busy summer season but I bet that site was probably available because it cost $45/ night in an area that has a lot more choices available for people not pulling a huge trailer. Checkin was a bit weird as the gate handled it right when we pulled up. The woman working the gate must have been new because she was not confident on routing directions and with our big rig that is kind of important. Ended up making it in to the site and found a very large pull through tucked in to nice shade trees with a view out back of the large prairie. The park does not feel like a KOA it is roomy a bit rural and forested. It was scheduled event weekend so lots of families but there was a burn ban at the time which meant we could stay outside and breathe (okay now I am sounding like a curmudgeon). The pool was available but had recently been unleashed from a mountain glacier... as in it was not heated and was freezing. The bounce pillow costs extra! and was really looking worn. Playground was okay. It all comes back to my original line; the park is just okay because of the price. Charge $30 per night and all the negatives can be overlooked/ charge what they do and the park is meh. Verizon 4G and phone worked good (2 bars), reasonably close to both North Cascade National Park and Anacortes. We left early one morning and drove the hour ten minutes to the ferry, rode our bike on and spent a day at Friday Harbor. Note we did check out the other parks in this immediate vicinity and this is by far the nicest for families.

📖 About This Campground
Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in Concrete Washington offers 125 tent and RV camping sites on the western access to North Cascades National Park (along WA 20). The large and quiet campground is located in a forested setting with a large prairie bordering the sites. A mix of backins and pull thrus the park is also a Thousand Trails affiliated property.
Sites and roads are packed dirt with plenty of trees for shade. Sites have picnic tables and fire rings. Grandy Creek borders the west side of the park. Access is via a small rural road that passes a small rural neighborhood.
A pet run, playground, pool, game room and clean restrooms welcome guests. Additional fee charged to use the bounce pillow. The large park is very family friendly.
