COMLARA County Park Campground

COMLARA County Park Campground in Hudson Illinois offers partial hookup RV and tent camping in a county run park adjacent to a recreational lake. The county park surrounds a man-made lake (and includes it too). The lake provides for a very scenic backdrop for campers and the property includes multiple hiking trails, excellent mountain biking trails and access for boats and canoes. COMLARA County Park Campground has RV sites with electric hookups and no hookups. Set on multiple loops the first few options have paved roads with gravel pads while the furthest most loop has no hookups and all the roads are gravel. In addition for tent campers wanting a bit more rustic of a feel there is a primitive tent camping area located on the opposite side of the lake. The park has an archery range, boat ramp, a dump station and plenty to do. Hunting is available during scheduled periods and fishing is also allowed. Set in a quiet location surrounded by rural Illinois the park is reasonably priced and available with reservations or on a first-come first-serve basis during non-busy times. RV sites can accommodate most any sized RV with the only caveat that the dump station is not conveniently placed for easy departure.
