Excellent place to stay near Vegas. Nice views looking back at the desert. The only drawback is that the short term RV sites are situated right next to the shotgun range. While not loud the constant bang bang from shotguns does get annoying. The range is closed to shooting two days per week and shuts down relatively early in the evening so there are quiet times. When we stayed it seemed that most of the RVs congregated down at the far end, presumably to stay away from the bulk of the shooting. At $20 per night for full hookups I will take a little bit of bang bang. This park is for self contained rigs only. We also checked out the long term workamper area which is very nice with sun shade covered red gravel sites. They ask that you be active with shooting and do rent guns and bow arrows; we went for the bow and arrow and it was really fun. They also had a shooting competition the weekend we stayed making for interesting and informative conversations with the attendees.

This was an incredible find in Vegas. Situated on Sheep Mountain this county park offers almost brand new RV sites with full hookups. We are not shooters but paid for one day just to keep the bureaucrats happy and enjoyed the serene setting. We choose a site away from the hustle and bustle and really enjoyed the place.
