Chickasaw National Recreation Area

Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Sulphur Oklahoma offers 6 public campgrounds distributed between two districts in the park. Platt Historic District: Formerly Platt National Park, this area has three campgrounds reminiscent of the early days of the park. The mature oak and hickory forest provides lush shade and a truly unique woodland experience. Streams, springs, and mineral waters create a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Campgrounds include Central, Cold Springs, and Rock Creek. Lake of the Arbuckles: Nestled in a post and black jack oak forest are the improved campgrounds at the Lake of the Arbuckles. The Point and Buckhorn campgrounds provide a bit more for the modern camper. Amenities include RV hookups (water and electric) and restrooms with showers. All sites are in close proximity to boat launch facilities and other water activities.
