New section is spacious, clean, good wifi and cable. Getting to it is a zig zag thru permanent/seasonal sites. Fist time I have ever had to pay $20 gate pass card ( get it back when you leave ), or had a 4:00 pm check in. There is a check list of what you have and things you will be using while there. Read all requirements before getting there. We did like the part of the ground where we stayed. Way in the back.

I rented the 3 bedroom cottage over the Labor Day week-end. The cottage is very spacious. Although there were only 4 of us, it will easily accommodate 6, with plenty of room for entertaining . I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the special little touches that were made by the owner, Anita, such as wash cloths prettily folded inside hand towels, a roll of paper towels with a face drawn on it with a poem telling us there was a kitchen towel and dish cloth and pot scrubber attached. Very nice. Also, the cottage was fully equipped with all the dishes and pots and pans you would ever need, plenty of dishes, hair dryers, and cleaning equipment. Plenty of towels, soap, etc. Really, all we needed was our clothes and our food and drinks. Everything else was there. Also, although Bill (Owner) was busy, he helped quide my son when he was parking his boat and trailer next to the cottage. We were very satisfied with our stay at the cottage and found everyone very pleasant.
This is a beautiful campground, HOWEVER, the woman that runs the campground is watching everyone's move like a hawk. The pool is only open until 6 pm and there are absolutely NO drinks allowed (even water bottles). Pool is overheated and it is dangerous when you have a very hot pool, no shade and you and your children are not allowed to have a drink of water without leaving the pool in fear it "could be vodka" in the bottle. Rules are extremely strict, invasive and just absolutely foolish. We had a group of 9 families with children staying for a local children's ball tournament and some of us were tenting, staying in a trailer site and some in cabins. Families staying in the cabins were explicitly told that no one is to set foot in the door other than those registered to the cabin or it would be $20 per person extra ( even though we had all paid to enter and stay at the campground). Once night it was pouring rain at 8pm and we sat under a picnic shelter that had some met
While I appreciate a clean, well taken care of campground, this one is run by a woman who has some serious control issues, and is training her young son (?) to be like her! When she wasn't patrolling, he was! Felt more like a prison camp-campers stayed in campers, only 3 sites had campfires, too many STUPID rules that stem from the owners personality. If you are almost dead, this is place for you-not kid friendly even with poolplayground! Shocked KOA associates their name to this place. Customer service so bad it didn't deserve a rating but I couldn't post this without adding at least a half of star! We will never go there again!
