Caballo Loco RV Ranch

Owner Jim is one of the nicest people I've ever met. He and his wife are so gracious; an unexpected treasure in the desert. He's put his heart and soul into Caballo Loco Ranch, and it shows. His staff are hardworking and do their very best to keep everyone happy. We've been here about a month and a half and enjoy almost everyone's company; there's one crabby lady trying to exclude people from the Saturday morning community breakfast, but we all know what happens to bullies; they eventually back down when someone stands up to them. Everyone else is super-nice though. Most people here are retired, but still full of life and extremely funny. There's an event almost every night of the week, from ballroom to bingo, poker to pot luck, plus happy hour at "Fort Kelly" in the boondock area.. We're very much looking forward to their art, wine, and music extravaganza in March. There is an 8-mile dirt road to access the ranch, but going about 25-35 mph makes it feel smoother. I highly recommend Caballo Loco Ranch! (Don't let reports of water problems dissuade you; the well in the boondocks provides 600 gallons per day and has the most delicious, fresh water; I don't even need to filter it. The aquafer water below in the full-hookup area is more plentiful and has a higher mineral content.)
