📖 About This Campground

Beaverkill Campground in Roscoe New York provides primitive tent and RV camping adjacent to the famous Beaverkill trout fishing stream, which flows through the entire developed length of the site, roughly east to west. A historic covered bridge, originally constructed in 1865, spans the stream on the town road.

Tree maintenance is desperately needed in this state campground. Low branches of diseased and dead pines line the roads of the campground. Campsites are small and tight due to lack of brush cutting and pruning over the years. Beautiful location. We stayed four nights over Memorial Day weekend in our 30 foot motorhome that is 12'6" high. No cell or radio stations. Beware of the exact location of this campground. Maps and websites put the campground across the river at the bath and shower houses but you will have the cross a beautiful covered bridge with a clearance of 6'6" to get to the sites. If you make this mistake a 20 mile detour to backtrack.
