📖 About This Campground

  • Angel Island State Park is located in the San Francisco Bay and offers a unique camping experience with views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the San Francisco skyline. Visitors can enjoy the natural beauty of the island while engaging in outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and wildlife viewing.

Facilities/Services:

  • Environmental campsites with picnic tables, fire rings, and food lockers.

  • Vault toilets and potable water available.

  • No wood fires allowed.

Camping Information:

  • 11 environmental campsites spread across four areas: East Bay, Sunrise, Ridge, and Kayak Camp.

  • Sites accommodate up to 8 people, with a first-come, first-served policy for unreserved campsites.

  • Reservations available via ReserveCalifornia.

Activities:

  • Hiking (Sharp Top Trail, Abbott Lake Trail)

  • Sandboarding and wildlife watching

  • Fishing in Abbott Lake

  • Historical tours of the island
